The drive of the connection society is to unite human beings through positivity, compassion, kindness, acceptance, and all other hallmarks that cultivate a judgment-free support system for all. Various communities of individuals who have shared similar experiences can unite and create nets of reciprocal support and genuine, empathetic alliances.
As individuals, we all strive to embody the best versions of ourselves, and as a society of loving people, we endeavour to support each other however possible, drawing from our own experiences, struggles, successes, and stories of what has supported us to arrive at our current existence. By providing people with opportunities to engage with others with whom they can identify with and relate to, and to hear real-life stories of success, empowerment, and resiliency provides a genuine and reassuring reminder that we are not alone.
“A New Direction Through Connection” is our Mission Statement and stands for all that Humble Pie is and will potentially grow to be. We live in a complex, ever-changing society of frustration, depression, anxiety, sadness, and disconnection, never achieving true peace of mind. Humble Pie builds upon community, and our work is, at its core, about being of service to the human beings that we are connected to. It is our hope to see others come to experience the immeasurable power of the human spirit, an instinctive connection to nature, bountiful and ever-flowing connective energy, the simple beauty of authentic human connection, and the precious gift of oneness within community.
Now is the time to be the change that humanity desperately needs; it is time to unite through our struggles and come together in acceptance, love, and with compassion for all. As a society, we look to build strength in numbers; to fill and bridge the gaps where the government falls behind, or where we feel that they are failing; to move to change the systems which are in place today, or create entirely new ones altogether, but in order for this to become reality, we must come together. It is time we start from the bottom, and by supporting one another without judgement, we can feel safe to stand in our truths while simultaneously providing safety and resources to others.
Everyone has something to offer, and everyone undergoes struggles at one point or another. Just imagine the power in coming together and the freedoms that could arise as a united movement that is driven by a desire to evoke change… we can become the change we are striving for. As our membership grows, our collective voice will only become louder and more powerful – and every voice will be as meaningful as the last, with equity being a pivotal value throughout our entire foundation.
